EUREKA!!!

Have you ever had that moment when you have a completely unrelated thought pop into you head to a question that you had hours, days, months or even years ago?
Well it happened to me and it made me feel like Archimedes when he figured out the gold crown thing and ran through the streets naked yelling "Eureka!". I would have done the same, except that I was at work, on BYU campus, and they are a little more strict about the dress-code than ancient Italy.
So, anyways, I was sitting at work, thinking about music, which led to soundtracks, which brought in the movie "Singing in the Rain" (which I haven't seen in years by the way) which then brought up a life long question that I have had:
Why the heck is it called "Singing in the Rain"?
He only sings once in the rain. It is ridiculous to name the whole thing after one song that really has nothing to do with the story. Then I thought about the story; some guys make a movie, the movie flops, they make a better movie out of the horrible movie, and there you go. And then it hit me... they are all "singing" in the rain! It is like making lemonade out of lemons, making a good situation out of a bad situation...
SINGING IN THE RAIN!
EUREKA! It all make so much sense now.
For the rest of the day I shared this amazing news with everyone that I ran into... most were not as enthusiastic as I was. But it doesn't change the fact that I am pretty darn happy about this discovery that I have made, and don't go raining on my parade by bringing up something about the Great Depression, because I don't want to hear it.
So there you go. Next time you watch "Singing in the Rain" you wont be as confused as I have been my entire life.

P.S. Speaking of music, have you ever listened to "Einstein on the Beach" by Philip Glass? That whole CD is my new question for the rest of my life.

I don't think it counts as peganism.

For all of you happy people in Provo and the great Utah Valley that have been enjoying this wonderful spring weather that we have had for the past week and are wondering who to thank for such a great think, look no further because it is us that you should thank.
A week ago from Saturday, Meg bought this happy little yellow wreath.
That day was raining, sleeting, and snowing and down right gross.
So we charged the wreath to do its magic and make it spring and bring happiness and balance to the Provo weather.
And that is exactly what it did,the rest of the week was forecast-ed as rain and possible snow but that Sunday was a beautiful sunny day and we have had only sunny days for the entire week minus a few clouds here and there and some little showers during the night.
Each day would say that there would be rain the next day and then they just keep getting pushed back.
Amazingly enough it was supposed to storm today, but its not.
So for all of you who live in Provo and are looking for someone to thank and give gifts to for the wonderful weather, just look for our wreath and leave them by the door.
Your welcome.

For 8 Year Olds or College Seniors

So I saw this kit for a cardboard tank in the market the other day for $2.00 and I thought "That looks like fun and easier than a real model. I think that I'll get for Brandon and me."
So I got it. It said for ages 8+... they lied. It came with no instructions except for a map of all of the pieces with numbers on them. The idea is to match the number with a piece that has the same number. The pieces were supposed to slide in to slots very easily except they don't.
Despite all of these difficulties we did it. Brandon and I made this awesome tank and it looks
pretty dang awesome and I am kind of a little jealous that I let Brandon keep it.

Megan said that I couldn't keep it in the front to show it off anyways though so it is probably best that I didn't get it.
Here's Brandon, he didn't want his picture taken so I had to sneak one.

SNOWBOARDING

So I'm not going to write a lot... lets just say that my family came in town for some skiing over President's Day (which is still "legally" Washington's Birthday by the way, I just found that out) and we got 3 days of snowboarding in over an 8 day period. It sounds kind of lame for living in Utah but for us that is kind of awesome. So here are some picks of us up at Solitude and Sundance. It snowed just about all weekend, except for Monday which was beautiful. We had fresh powder as our late welcoming to the season.

Did I mention that it snowed all weekend? Because it did.
This one is super small because Megan is making a funny face and I think that this is the only way that I could get it on here.

Sundance wasn't quite as nice as Solitude but you get pretty spoiled after spending two full days in fresh powder and having an entire mountain to you self (I hope that I'm not bragging). Nonetheless it was pretty darn good too.

I will however very openly brag about my awesome wife Megan. I challenge anyone's wife to be a better snowboarder than her (stipulations: she can not have been snowboarding for more than 3 years spending now more than 3 days snowboarding per year). With that said she was awesome. Next time I'll take some videos to put up.
I've said more than I've intended so to sum up: Solitude had LOTS of powders, Sundance was still pretty good, I have an amazing snowboarding queen for a wife.
Yep, that's about it.
