Adventures in Cooking
When Brendan and I got married I decided it was time for me to learn to cook. So Brendan and I started looking through cookbooks and online recipes and making up our own recipes to try out some fun things. We've have had LOTS of "learning experiences". For example...

Pizzas
Brendan and I have had the most fun with pizza.
Beetza
Beets, blue cheese, onions, chicken, spinach, mozzarella cheese and a garlic white sauce

Appitza
Blue Cheese, Jonagold Apples, Cheddar Cheese, Chicken, and Barbeque Sauce

Cauliflower Pizza
This pizza has normal pizza sauce (spaghetti sauce), cheese, and spinach but the crust is made out of Cauliflower (sneaking in more veggies!)

(Forgot to take a picture of mine so this is from the blog I pulled the recipes from...http://www.eat-drink-smile.com/2011/04/cauliflower-crust-pizza.html)
- Too much mint extract in the ice cream = toothpaste ice cream
- Tuna is NOT a good fish to fill your ravioli with
- The burners on our stove get hot when the oven is on (We learned this one more than one...melted spoon holder, melted hand mixer, and ringed burn marks on my cookbook)
- One side of my oven cooks hotter than the other- which means that if we don't rotate things half way through, half of the cupcakes will burn and the other will be doughy
- It does not matter how much I try, I will ALWAYS make a mess while cooking
Hummis Pita Salads
Basically bake hummis and goat cheese on top of pita then through a salad on top. YUM!

Bahahahahaha!
Saturday Comes After Friday
Brendan and I have been maximizing our summer Saturdays. Here are just a few of our Saturday activities in the past few weeks....

Needless to say, we are loving the sunshine and enjoying ourselves as much as we possibly can!
1.) Farmer's Market in Salt Lake where we stocked up
on yummy produce, got gelato, renewed our syrup,
collection, and listened to the local musicians.
The girl who opened for the lower lights is my favorite!

2.) Visited this lovely British tea shop (Thanks Groupon! :)
I finally got to try cucumber sandwiches. Which, by the way,
were either much better in The Importance of Being Earnest,
or are highly overrated. The Chocolate Covered Macaroon
and cheese crumpet on the other hand were delicious!
Brendan voted for the Cornish Pastry.
