"Do you hear that?".... A second later hundreds of bikes wiz past us in a blur!


Yellow fields forever.


The Germans were so hospitable. When we asked two German girls where to eat because we were hungry and looking for lunch, they whipped out a brand new package of cookies and offered them to us. We accepted. They were delicious!

We Drove Though Fields of Yellow to Neuschwanstein

"I love this train ride! It looks like someone took a yellow highlighter to the fields!" -Meg


"Wow! An hour train ride, 30 minute bus and 30 minute hike to see the great Neuschwanstein castle... Why is it wrapped in bubble wrap?!" -Brendan


"So this (Munich) is where Oktober Fest happens."- Brendan

We Fell in Love with Vienna

"Do you speak German? No? Here, you can have the menu with just pictures." - Waiter

"I just spent 8 euros on half a kilo of cubed coconut... totally worth it." - Meg at Naschmarkt

"Doe- a deer, a female deer; Ray- a drop of golden sun..." - little Japanese girl dancing around a fountain in Volksgarten wearing her floral dress and her hair up in buns

"I'm really not a big fan of Gothic cathedrals." (One trip around and inside St. Steven's Cathedral later) "I LOVE GOTHIC CATHEDRALS!" - Brendan

We Got Lost in Venice

"I'm so glad that I have an 8 GB memory card for the camera!" - Meg


"Where is Megan? She was right behind me and then we turned the corner and then... aw... she's taking another picture of an alley/window/planter/clothesline/dock/bridge." - Brendan


"Tranquillo" is what we were told by our waiter after waiting some 20 minutes for the check. We waited an additional 10 minutes after he said that as well.

We Were Struck Awe in Florence

 

"This is a great moment. Fresh bread, cheese, apples and pear juice. Sitting on the steps of a cathedral in Florence. Life doesn't get much better than this does it?" -Meg


"Oh, hey, thats cool, the map shows that we pass by this neat looking cathedral on the way to our hostel. Awesome. Hey guys, that must be the cathe... (gasping for air after having you breath taken away when stumbling across the Duomo for the first time... and second time... and third time...)" - Brendan

"What is that box connected to the back of The David's leg for? Oh, it has something to do with the frequency or... you guys (Meg, Eric, Aura Maria) are all sleeping aren't you?... in the Accademia... starring at David's rear." - Brendan
