Falling in Love with Pumpkin

Despite the fact that fall always comes too quickly for my taste, I love the changing of the season for a few reasons...

1. the sound of leaves crunching

2. the smell (not sure exactly what is is, but its great!)

3. the explosion of color after summer has burnt all of the green away

4. boots...I love boots...and coats

5. PUMPKIN

Brendan and I have been having fun with pumpkin the last month. Here are my favorites!

Pumpkin Oatmeal

1/2 cup cooked oats

1/4 cup pumpkin
Cinnamon, to taste

Nutmeg, to taste

Brown Sugar, to taste

Nuts and Cranberries optional

AMAZING...So thick and great with Cinnamon Syrup

Happy Halloween

October flew by. Brendan's been super busy with school and work. I have had so much to do at work. But in our few spare minutes we have been having fun! Brendan carved this amazing pumpkin!

On Halloween Brendan and I watched The Village (which, if you are looking for this at Blockbuster is in the Drama section...not Horror/Scary...who knew?) and we dipped our Halloween Oreos.

Also, I made these adorable candy jars. Thank you Pinterest for the wonderful idea! :)

For our ward Halloween Party we dressed up as the characters of Clue! I am Mrs. Peacock, Brendan is Mr. Green, Carly is Ms. White, David is Col. Mustard, Jessica is Ms. Scarlett and David is Professor Plum.

Needless to say, we had a good Halloween!
